You need a good agent, a good plan and a good team of skilled tradespeople as well as deep knowledge about where-to-get-what-better-faster-cheaper to get your flip done on time and on budget. You also need cash-in-hand, a good source of financing, and a realistic understanding of the elements that can make-or-break the investment potential for this type of real estate transaction.

Have you considered buying a duplex, living in one side while fixing up the other? If you have some decent DIY (Do it Yourself) skills, this might be a way for you to build wealth in real estate.
